Ralph R.J. Thompson B.A. (Cantab.) M.Sc. (Oxon.)
My recent life has been shaped largely by pursuing my interest in the study of life (
academically) and in
art (
leisurely), and by a few special people who I have met along the way. Some combination of these has lead me to where I am now, living near Bristol thinking about emotion...
I recently completed an M.Sc. in Biology (Integrative Biosciences) at the
Department of Zoology in the University of Oxford where I was a member of
Pembroke College, Oxford. I am also a scholar of
King's College, Cambridge where I recently graduated from with first class honours in Natural Sciences (Zoology).
Aside from my academic interest in the biosciences I am a keen amateur artist working in a variety of media (drawing, painting and photography) but with a focus on the human form as a subject. Examples of my work can be seen on my
portfolio pages.
I am now conducting PhD research at the interface of animal behaviour science and human psychology at the
University of Bristol, see
academic interests for more details. I also continue to spend time on
my artwork as well, both personally and as President of
ARTofficial, the University of Bristol Fine Art Society. Please
contact me with any enquiries regarding
commissioning or
purchasing my work.
